**Fashion Tribute!! - !! Oscar De La Renta

The Fashion Lyricist. . .

Oscar de la Renta (born July 22, 1932) is one of the world's leading fashion designers!! I absolutely ADORE his work! He was named the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1973. In 1965 he went to work for Jane Derby and launched his own label. When Derby died in August 1965 Oscar de la Renta took over the label. And from then on, my Fashion Idol dominated!

He continues to make BEAUTIFUL dresses, shoes, handbags, bridal wear and he even has his own perfume line!
His elegance is beyond measures. I just hope that I am able to reach even the slightest percentage of his success through his fashion. **Color, Fabric & Ethnic (his motto) :)... ---May his style live on!!---

**Color Blocking

The Fashion Lyricist. . .

One of the most NOW trends in fashion is colorblocking. Strategically placed, contrasting, yet complimentary, bold and bright colors paired together to create a unique look was seen on the Spring 2011 runways. It is an amazing way of enhancing your shape and complexion.

Mixing and matching different colors makes your outfit POP OUT and each detail visible and aknowledged.
The key to a perfect color-blocked outfit is to mix just the right colors to make the other ever more beautiful and special.

A lot of things can be color-blocked though. From the hair, the clothes, nails, shoes and even the makeup.

Color Wheel for Colorblocking TrendThere are a few rules to this though. A lot of people have been victims
to having too much color and overdoing the look. This is totally wrong!
So, I'll share afew tips on how to make it work properly..
No one wants to look like a clown right??

---Tips To Color Blocking :

1. Don’t be shy to experiment. Certain color combination are fantastic if you can pull them off properly. Blue, green and orange sounds mad but will look oh-so-pretty. Trrrust!!

2. Do not combine more than three to four colors. It’s not that it doesn’t look nice, but it looks very trampy. Too many colors can make your body look out of shape!
The trend is to make you stand out but certainly not fatten you up.

3. Choose what you want to color block and keep the rest of your look simple. For example, if you opt for a colorblocked bag, go easy on the clothes and shoes. No clowning!!!

4. Never ever ever combine two color blocked items. This is the worst thing to do to this trend. It looks too drag! None of that!
